From Manual Tabletop to Fully Automatic Machines

There are many types of skin packaging machines ranging from manual to fully automatic.

Typical standard sizes are 18” x 24”, 24” x 30”. 30” x 36” and 36” x 48”. Custom sizes are also manufactured by ZED Industries in Vandalia, OH. Retail packages typically require a skin packaging machine and a die cutter to cut full sheets into individual retail packs.

The ZED Model EZ-Skin is a free standing, heavy duty, skin packaging machine. This unit is completely self-contained and requires connection to electrical supply only for full operation. Air is not required.

The ZED Model EZ-Trim is an economically prices, hydraulic die cutter. Simple set-up and even hydraulic cutting pressure helps increase die life as compared to troublesome roller die cutters.

The ZED Model EZ-Skin/Trim Combo is a completely self-contained skin packaging system for applications utilizing 18” x 24” master skin cards, and requires connection to electrical supply only. Air is not required. The combo unit features a skin packaging section with automatic cycle control and a hydraulic die cutter on a single, space-saving frame. This economically priced system was designed to incorporate work-motion efficiencies allowing maximum productivity of high quality skin packaged items.

The ZED Model 36-S Skin Packer has automatic clamp frame opening, optional automatic infeed/outfeed systems, heavy steel construction and precision vacuum control.

The ZED Model STP Hydraulic Die Cutter requires minimum make ready. It allows you to cut up or down. It has a floating platen level cut and automatic die shuttle.

THE ZED Model 36-S skin packer combined with the Model STP hydraulic die cutter provides a complete packaging solution, and are available in a wide range of standard and custom sizes, with numerous options.

The ZED Model Skin-N-Trim is a completely automatic skin packaging system with load conveyor, automatic skin pack station, unique in-line hydraulic die cutting, product discharge, scrap rewind and optional card feeder. This is the most versatile, high volume in-line packaging system available today, and will accept all types of skin packaging to meet particular requirements. The Skin-N-Trim has been proven dependable in production for over 20 years, worldwide.

The ZED Model Auto Skin-Trim is designed for high volume skin packaging needs which can be met with an 18” x 24” area. This system offers all of the major advantages of the ZED Skin-N-Trim in a compact, cost effective unit. Automatic in-line skin packing and hydraulic die cutting allows fast, accurate packaging. Automatic card feeder and template load options are available for increased productivity.

The ZED Model Auto Skin-Trim 10 (AST10) is the fastest member of the ZED series of fully automatic in-line skin packaging systems. It is specifically designed for applications utilizing 18” x 24” master skin cards and for products which can be loaded at speeds of up to 10 cycles per minute.
