Low Density Polyethylene
This film is used in the industrial product protection segment of the skin packaging market. When package appearance and film clarity are not important, skin polyethylene is often used. Shipping room applications are where this film is used the most. It takes the machine longer to heat this film causing longer cycle times and higher heat requirements and greater vacuum requirements than is necessary for Surlyn. Typically you need to use a heaver gauge polyethylene than Surlyn.
