Surlyn 1601-2 Packaging Resins

The original Surlyn film for skin packaging

This film offers high clarity and optics, fast cycle time, excellent board adhesion and no board curl. These qualities along with high tensile strength and puncture resistance provide an excellent solution for both industrial and retail packaging.

Surlyn® 1601-2 is for use in conventional blown and cast film extrusion and coextrusion equipment designed to process polyethylene resins.

Widths: 20” – 48”. Most common is 20”, 26” or 26 ½” and 32” or 32 ½”
Gauges: .003 - .015. Most common is .005, .0075 and .010 in Surlyn
Yield: 29,500 square inches per pound @ .001 mil.
Treat: Treated inside our outside. Most common is treated outside.

3” core.
OD (outside diameter): 9”
Weight: Approximately 34# for 20” roll; 48# for 26 ½”; 58# for 32 ½”.
