Models F-1M and F-3M Multipackers consist of specially modified F-1 and F-3 Form-Fill-Seal machines onto which has been installed a multipacking infeed. Systems to enhance the transfer of small products and products standing on end (such as bottles or jars) have been incorporated into the machines.
Product is brought into the machine, preferably on a specially designed Shanklin Accumulating Conveyor (accessory). The F-1M or F-3M separates groupings of products and overwraps the grouping. Product flow through the machine is in a straight line, and single or multiple lanes of product can be grouped. Horizontal or vertical jaw type machines are available. Accessories include product-accumulating infeed conveyors, product lane dividers, product up-enders and up-stackers.
In addition to the multipacking infeed Shanklin High Speed and Form-Fill-Seal Wrappers equipped with Synchronic Infeeds, Timing Screw Infeeds, and specially modified Harmonic Infeeds can also multipack product.
