The Pony is an excellent compact shrink system for low volume applications, back-up to automatic and semi-automatic packaging lines and rework requirements. The one step operation provides a professional looking package at a low economical price. Simply slip your product into the centerfolded shrink film, close the hood, and watch the machine cut, seal and shrink the film to create a beautiful, professionally finished product every single time.

The Pony is manufactured by Siat, a large multi-national packaging company (owner of Wulftec stretch wrappers and Combi case sealers). Siat is also the same company that manufactures 3M’s tape equipment. If their quality is good enough for 3M it should be able to meet your high standards. These systems are backed by a full 1 year warranty. Warranty and replacement parts are available for overnight shipment.

Production Rate & Cost Per Package
Using the Pony shrink wrap system will dramatically increase production rates compared to manual heat gun operations. In many operations, production can be increased 500%, thus freeing up labor for other work and reducing your cost per package.

Uniform Shrink
A manual heat gun does not evenly apply the heat and thus you get a patchwork of shrinking. You also run the risk of blowing open holes by leaving the gun concentrated too long in one place. The resulting package is aesthetically poor and can have a profound effect on point of sale results. An operator who shrink wraps products with a heat gun is unable to shrink wrap every product exactly the same way every time. The Pony replaces the human factor in the shrink wrapping process.

Training
There is a right way and a wrong way to manually shrink wrap product. Applied incorrectly, shrink wrap loses its strength, integrity and protective properties and becomes prone to failure at your customers location. Employee turnover or multiple operators mean that you must constantly train employees on how to correctly shrink wrap the product to ensure customer satisfaction while also ensuring they do not hurt themselves

Customer Satisfaction
Your shrink wrapped finished product is the LAST operation you perform and the FIRST operation your customer sees of your capabilities as a supplier. Your customer’s perception of your competence as a supplier is affected by your packaging. The quality of what is inside can be greatly diminished by the quality of the shrink wrap on the outside. How many people buy dented canned goods? Is the product inside dented? No. But poor or inconsistently shrink wrapped product can give the perception of a low-end manufacturer. Lowering your standards of production during this last operation can be costly, often unbeknownst to you.

Quality Control
By definition, manual shrink wrapping products prevents you from obtaining any type of repeatability and consistency. Multiple operators, time of day, month and year, fatigue and many other variables prevents any type of QC standards. Using a shrink wrapping system allows you to either eliminate, or preset these variables. This ensures repeatability and consistency and allows product to be shrink wrapped to a set quality standard.
