Description
ZED 15-CRS Series automated, rotary heat sealers are designed for high volume production requirements and are typically used for conventional carded blister packs. They feature automatic blister and card feeders as well as finished package ejectors. Locating pins on the aluminum turntable allow the use of quick-change seal tools - made of aluminum, phenolic or maple die board, depending on application requirements. State-of-the-art control system features a user-friendly touch screen operator interface to help speed up the learning and set-up process. The CRS-4 is a 4 station machine (with one open product loading station); the CRS-6 is a 6 station machine (with three open product loading stations); and the CRS-8 is an 8 station machine (with three to four open product loading stations). Optional quick-change blister and card hopper systems are also available to further increase productivity and versatility and help meet the needs of today's JIT and pack-to-order manufacturing environments.
Operation
An accurate, high speed, cam drive indexer is used for precision repeatability, and is timer controlled to pace the operator(s), who load the product only (since blisters and cards are automatically fed) into the seal tools, as they index past their loading stations, sealing is automatic, and the finished package ejector removes the packages automatically from the seal tools. Cycle speeds are dependent upon operator loading speeds; approximately 10 - 20 cycles per minute.

Options
- 220 Volt system (1 PH, 15 Amps), includes transformer for 110 Volt controls.
- Card feeder sensor system, vacuum sensor type, provides feedback to PLC to stop machine if card(s) is missed.
- Blister feeder sensor system, vacuum sensor type, provides feedback to PLC to stop machine if blister(s) is missed.
- Extra pick-off brackets for ejector.
- Medical / Pharmaceutical version (includes features such as Steel-It or White epoxy Paint, digital seal timer, low pressure air shut-off alarm, manifold or Coalescing filter exhaust system and higher seal pressures).
- Additional automatic Feeders: Pick-n-place type system to feed insert cards or similar item from a hopper onto the seal tools via pick-off brackets with suction cups. Feeder includes 3 pick-off brackets.
Tooling:
- Seal tools, maple die board, (up to 1" deep blister) in qty's of 6-8, approx.
