Description
ZED 15-RSI Series are automated rotary sealers designed for sealing clamshells and two-piece blisters via impulse sealing or conventional carded blister packs via heat sealing. Impulse sealing requires the use of quick-change seal tools on the turntable and a matching face plate which will then allow perimeter, spot or band sealing of the snap ring, flange, etc. Optional quick-change system for the matching face plate provide for complete flexibility to meet today's JIT and pack-to-order manufacturing and packaging environment. The controls system features a PLC to insure dependable and reliable operation.
Operation
An accurate, high speed, cam drive indexer is used for precision repeatability, and is controlled to pace the operator(s), who load the clamshells or blister(s), product and card(s) into the seal too they index past their loading stations (5 load / unload stations and 1 seal station; std.), sealing is automatic (normal seal time 1 - 3 seconds), and an optional finished package ejector is available to remove the pack automatically from the seal tools.
