Description
The ZED Model 36-S is designed for the medium to higher volume skin packaging market, and for specialty skin packing applications, such as parts which protrude through the card, extremely large product size, etc. This unit is available in a wide array of sizes and with a number of features and options, which allow for the fabrication of a skin packaging machine which will fit the customer's exact packaging requirements! The optional 3 station automatic infeed & outfeed helps increase productivity and cycle times, since the operators/ product loaders, are now being paced by the speed of the card indexing through the machine. (When the 36-S is combined with the ZED Model STP hydraulic die cutter, you will be provided with a complete skin packing system designed for years of efficient productivity!)
Operation
The operator places the master card on the machine bed, loads product and depresses the two-hand start buttons to initiate the automatic skin cycle, then removes the finished card and repeats the process. With the addition of the optional automatic infeed and outfeed system, a completely different operation takes place: the operator loads cards onto the 3 station infeed conveyor, which automatically index (via timer control) through the product loading stations (where operators load product and are paced by the machine), then automatically enters the skin pack area, where skin packing takes place. The gripper system then removes the finished card from the skin station to the outfeed table. The skin packed card is now ready for die cutting on the Zed model STP.
