Features and Benefits
Roll holder
- Located on machine frame.
- Simple roll changes.
- Large diameter roll capacity for longer production runs.
Heating system
- High efficiency, flat black, far infra-red system standard. Outside portions of heaters emit more heat than center section to ensure proper sheet drape.
- Heaters move away from sheet during shut downs to improve safety and heating thermodynamics upon restart.
Card indexing system
- Electric motor driven in-feed conveyer with exclusive card pusher system indexes card through product loading and into skin pack station.
- Superior registry and accuracy without having to change existing cards.
- Precision indexing film conveyors move card from skin pack station through trim press onto package discharge station.
Skin packaging station
- Exclusive vacuum box design ensures precision skin packing of all products by introducing the card-with product-up to the film in the preferred horizontal orientation.
- Material versatility accepts films of Dupont Surlyn" ionomer resin or polyethylene from 2 mil. up to 20 mil. and board types such as SIBS skin cards and corrugate.
- High-volume vacuum system features individual vacuum and bleed control to ensure superior results.
Trim station
- Most powerful hydraulic die cutting trim press on market.
- Exclusive ZED pancake cylinder provides high tonnage trimming with complete control of pressure.
- Solid steel, full trim-area size platens - up to 5" thick.
- Precision four-post press design with extra long bushings.
Package discharge
- After die-cutting, the die cut cards are held in the web by tiny nicks in the die which allow the entire card to index forward onto the out-feed package unloading area for case packing, etc.
- Rollers are provided on out-feed which can help part separation on certain card layouts.
Scrap rewind
- Standard heavy-duty, pneumatic scrap web rewind.
Computer control system
- Intel® piuuussor runs Windows based program.
- Machine functions are controlled and easily adjusted via a touch screen.
- Job memory capabilities with heater and all timer control settings can be saved to hard drive or diskette.
- Self-diagnostics and fault indicators simplify machine operation and maintenance.
Available Options
- Pre-heater system allows for increase cycle speeds up to 12 cycles per minute, on an 18"x24" master card format.
- Template load system allows a template to be located over the card for easy product placement and alignment.
- Extra loading stations provide lengthened in-feed load conveyor to allow additional product loaders.
- Conveyor index speed control provides variable control of in-feed conveyor speed and soft start/ramp up & down.
- Automatic card feeder places master card on in-feed conveyor.
- Magnetic board system prevents ferrous/metallic products such as drill bits, hole saws, etc. from moving on card prior to skin packing.
- Protruding parts system allows for products which protrude through the card such as handles, gas caps, etc.
- Electrical HIGH/LOW vacuum system provides precision control of vacuum for better skin film draw over difficult part profiles.
- Blister forming system provides circuitry and valving for vacuum forming capability.
- X-Y trim die adjustor allows for fast accurate cutting die adjustment during machine operation.
- Trim die sensor system detects if parts are out of position in the trim press and stops the press in mid-cycle, to prevent ruining the die or the part.
- Higher tonnage trim press: 110, 130, 160, etc. ton available.
- Double acting trim press for parts which protrude through the back of the card.
- Quick-change trim die system available in many versions, depending on dies used.
