  • Up to 50+ cycles per minute

Description

ZED CAM-FORM Series ultra high-speed pressure formers are designed for applications that require high volume production and precision punch-type trimming of parts such blisters, bowls, trays, lids, etc. They combine extremely fast cycle speeds of 20-50+ per minute (depending on application, material, tooling, etc.) with precision repeatability and low power consumption. State-of-the-art servo-motor technology provides motion control for forming platens, trim platens and film index. These thermoforming systems feature a precision die-cutting press that uses punch & die type tooling and offers lower tooling costs than is required for older wide-web type machines. Optional dual roll holder and hole puncher.

Operation

ZED CAM-FORM pressure formers use roll-fed thermoplastic that

  1. is indexed via a servo driven pin chain through a multiple zone preheating station into ...
  2. the forming station where servo-driven top & bottom moving platens (with form tools attached) close to pressure form the part after which the formed sheet web is indexed and reregistered as it enters ...
  3. the servo driven horizontal punching station where parts are punched out of the web and ...
  4. automatically stacked while ...
  5. the scrap web is rewound or fed to a grinder.
