Zed Model G

Zed Model G - General Purpose Thermoformer

Description

The model G is a sheet or roll fed general purpose vacuum forming machine which is available as a standard vacuum former with an up-moving platen, vacuum and air eject systems. By adding the various available options, the G can be manufactured with automatic heater movement, automatic clamp frame (open & close), plug assist, etc., so that this unit will meet your application requirements. This unit is ideally suited for short production runs, sampling blisters, trays, skin packs, pre-production samples, laboratory experiments, etc.

Operation

The model G, in the base configuration, operates as follows: Plastic sheet is placed in the clamp frame and the clamp frame is locked, the heater is rolled over the film, activating the timer controlled heat time, the platen (with tool mounted to it) moves up into the sheet, the part is formed, heater is pushed back over the insulated staging area, cool cycle takes place, air eject is used to free the cooled part from the mold, the platens retract, and the finished formed part may then be removed from the clampframe, and the process can than be repeated.
