Medical / Pharmaceutical Single Shuttle Sealers
MS/PH Series

MS/PH1-1822 - Medical / Pharmaceutical Single Shuttle Sealers
MS/PH1-1822

Overview

Starview’s new single shuttle Medical / Pharmaceutical package sealers are specifically designed for use by companies requiring machines for the production of Medical Device Packages. Design features address third party validation requirements and clean room applications.

The MS/PH Series machines are designed with consideration for the typical space constraints in clean rooms. The machine can back up to another type of machine, conveyor or wall. The single shuttle tray only requires one sealing fixture, thus reducing the cost of the aluminum tooling employed in clean room environments.

The two-stage high pressure pneumatic cylinder is mounted in the bottom of the machine on Model MS/PH1-1822. Actuation raises the aluminum tooling toward the fixed hot plate. The bottom mounted cylinder insures that there are no moving or wearing parts above the packages to accidentally drop foreign matter into the packages prior to sealing. The two-stage pneumatic cylinders on Model MS/PH2-2436 are conventionally mounted above the sealing platen. The hot plate is multi-zoned with temperature settings made directly from the touch screen operator interface. Each digital temperature controller is programmed with adjustable high and low temperature alarms. Air line pressure is transmitted to the touch screen operator interface panel via a transducer. A user settable low pressure alarm is included in the program parameters.

The touch screen operator interface panel includes, timer setting, alarms, fault finding and mechanical, electrical and pneumatic parts list. It also includes standard extended features such as password protected temperature, pressure and timer settings and an on-screen log of the previous 50 seal cycles including temperature, pressure and seal time.

Optional features to increase the machine productivity and versatility include a color operator interface panel, automatic electric slide tray actuation and casters with locking wheels.

The upper housing and guards are constructed of stainless steel. The machine frame is welded heavy-wall tubing painted with steel-it epoxy paint for a very durable finish. These are robust machines designed to give years of trouble-free service.
