Description
The Zed Model STP is a hydraulically driven die cutter which is the answer to the problems encountered with roller die cutters. No more smashed dies, warped plates, excessive make ready or constant maintenance and repairs, i.e. replacing bearings, guide rollers, roll drive transmission mechanisms, etc. The STP was designed for cutting skin packs, sheets of blister packs, formed parts and with the optional temperature controlled hot plate, seal-n-trim applications can be performed and to assist in cutting heavy guage plastics. These quality machines are designed with ease of operation and reliability in mind, and are constructed of the finest heavy duty materials available. The self contained hydraulic system insures even pressure over the entire die which provides a precise cut every time and greatly extended die life. Our standard units can be modified to meet specific applications, sizes, or production needs.
Operation
The operator places the item to be die cut onto the shuttle table, depresses the two-hand start buttons to initiate the automatic cutting cycle. The die can be mounted on the lift arms over the table (for easiest finished cut card removao, on the shuttle table or in the press itself. Once the die cutting has been accomplished, the shuttle table slides out of the machine, the lift arms raise the die open, the operator removes the finished trimmed parts and repeats the process. With the use of the optional temperature controlled hot plate (Reduces maximum part height to 4 inches); die life can be extended, the STP can be used as a Seal & Trim machine or just as a heat sealer.
